Parker Meggitt, a recent addition to Parker Hannifin, is a global leader in the Commercial and Military Aerospace spanets, specializing in a wide range of products including fire and smoke detection systems, extinguishing systems, bleed air overheat detection systems, actuators, rudder pedal assemblies, pumps, fuel gauging systems, and high-temperature cables. Located in Simi Valley, CA, this site is within the Fire Safety & Power Systems Division (FSPSD) and is a key supplier in select energy spanets, particularly in nuclear gas analyzers and nuclear containment vessel penetration cables. We work directly with some of the largest aerospace companies in the world, including Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, and Lockheed Martin, among others.
Quality Technician, Sr
Position Summary:
The Sr. Quality Technician provides technical support to the quality engineering functions. Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials, components and parts at various stages of the production process, to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, testing, materials, and components on all types of standard and special products, to insure alignment with product requirements and quality standards
- Provides detail analysis, troubleshooting and evaluation of components, assemblies and systems
- Maintains documentation records and data on tests performed
- Recommends quality control solutions to complex problems and implements corrective actions
- Sets up or builds special test panels to facilitate testing and /or evaluation as needed
- Perform internal audits based on established criteria and records the results.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Qualifications:
- Skilled at performing examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials, components and parts on all types of standard and special products
- Ability to independently resolve standard assignments
- Experience with blueprints, drawings and parts lists
- Proficient computer skills
- Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma/Equivalent and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
- Years Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in Quality

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California, New York, and Washington. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as spanet and business considerations.
The wage range for this role considers allowances for a number of factors, including but not limited to required experience, skill level, prior training, licensure/certifications, education, and other business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $25.19 -$42.02.per hour
