Contract Position
$26.38/Hour
Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS), and install Modification Work Orders (MWOs) on Abrams tank variants (M1A1ED, M1A2 SEP V2, and V3).
Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle systems, subsystems, and components using diagnostic flow diagrams and procedures.
Maintain accountability of specialized tools, test equipment, and assigned property.
Execute tasks in accordance with leadership directives to support overall maintenance operations.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Security Clearance: Must be able to gain access to US Military facilities or bases, including a NACI clearance if required
Experience: Minimum 1 year of general mechanical maintenance experience, preferably with the Abrams Family of Vehicles.
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. person per federal requirements.
Technical & Physical Requirements:
Familiarity with maintenance tasks and MWOs specific to Abrams variants (M1A1 SA, M1A2 SEP V2, SEP V3).
Proficiency with tools and test equipment used in military vehicle maintenance.
Capable of working in team-based field and shop environments, including on/off military installations.
Physically able to work at heights, lift/carry up to 50 lbs, and operate in extreme weather conditions.
Valid state-issued driver’s license required; must be able to obtain a tank driver’s license.
Must meet anthropometric requirements (ASR) for safe operation inside enclosed military vehicles.
Willingness to travel domestically in support of maintenance, fielding, and retrofit activities.
Must pass Job Proficiency Certification for Abrams fleet maintenance.
Ability to work independently and alongside government personnel as needed.
