How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) The Passenger Facilitation Co-op will help:Provide process engineering and internal consulting servicesParticipate in data collection efforts for projects that impact cross-functional departmentsMeasure and analyze current the TSA and Customs and Border Protection wait time performanceIdentify and implement improvements to existing processes to increase efficiency, productivity, and performanceRecommend ideas for new ways to provide optimal customer experienceEvaluate impact of proposed operational changesWrite and manage various data queries using VBA and SQLPractice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and proceduresSuccessful candidates will have the opportunity to learn from an Industrial Engineer as well as a team with diverse backgrounds through mentorship, professional development, knowledge sharing, and exposure to industry best practices. Additionally, co-ops will apply academic concepts in real-world settings including, statistical analysis, process flow analysis, modeling, and database management.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Must be enrolled as a full-time student pursuing an undergraduate degree in a 4-year academic institution.At least a 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale.Must be available to work on a full-time basis for 3 alternating semesters: Fall 2026, Summer 2027, and Spring 2028.This position requires student to work for 3 alternating semesters. Student cannot actively take any courses (inclusive of online or in-person) and work as a Co-op/Intern at the same time, which may delay graduation by 1-2 semesters.Must be able to work onsite in our Atlanta, GA office for the duration of the Co-op.Must have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SQL and data collection methodologies.Self-sufficient and complete assignments with minimal supervision.Detail oriented and perform well under pressure.Eager to accept responsibility and create value-added projects.Demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrate a professional demeanor when interacting with all levels of the organization.Must be willing to travel for business up to 10 of the time (domestic and/or international).Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.Working as a Co-op/Intern does not guarantee a full-time opportunity at Delta Air Lines upon graduation. This position is intended to provide educational and professional work experience to prepare the student for the workforce.Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
