What You Will Do:
Columbus Forge of Pratt & Whitney, a recognized leader in producing air foils for the aerospace propulsion spanet, is looking for dedicated individuals to support our organization. Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the work of Forge teams engaged in support of equipment for production.
- Assign work to ensure production meets business needs.
- Ensure team members have the skills, tools and materials needed to complete assigned tasks.
- Monitor availability of WIP (Work In Progress)
- Audit operator performance for adherence to standard work and productivity to goals.
- Provide status updates on critical production items.
- Assist with RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) and problem solving.
- Track daily output to daily goals. Communicate performance feedback with supervisor.
- Perform EH&S audits and inspections. Perform 6S audits, track daily output, spot calibrations,.
- Provide performance feedback (coaching) to employees, align employee skill with required work.
- Mitigate part issues, resolve SAP issues.
- Work with QRCs to clear QNs (quality non-conformance)
- Troubleshoot part non-conformance.
- Trouble shoot equipment related to quality issues.
- Identify bottlenecks and work to resolve issues.
- Track and expedite material movement through shop.
- Find and manage fixtures, parts, missing material and tools.
- Proactively identify next setup gages and fixtures needed for production.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent Equivalency for this position must include increasingly complex manufacturing-related work
- 5-10 years forging experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer:
- 2 years of Pratt and Whitney experience highly preferred
- Candidate must possess the ability to clearly communicate Columbus Forge Blades goals
- Knowledge of all Columbus Forge Blades equipment
- Ability to prioritize assignments
- Experience with EH&S and ACE teams
