Parker Meggitt (Securaplane) a recent addition to Parker Hannifin, is a global leader in the Commercial and Military Aerospace spanets, specializing in a wide range of products including fire and smoke detection systems, extinguishing systems, bleed air overheat detection systems, actuators, rudder pedal assemblies, pumps, fuel gauging systems, and high-temperature cables. Located in Oro Valley, AZ, this site is within the Fire Safety & Power Systems Division (FSPSD) and is a key supplier of camera systems, energy storage products, and security systems in aerospace spanets. We work directly with some of the largest aerospace companies in the world, including Airbus, Boeing, Gulfstream, Bombardier, Embraer, and Textron, among others
Assembler 2
Position Summary
The Assembler 2 position performs disassembly, assembly, re-work, and minimum testing of various electrical/electronic equipment.

Responsibilities
Use electric soldering equipment to the IPC-A-610B, Class 3 standard
Cut, prepare and pre-tin wires, prepare batteries, Apply conformal coat, spaning and adhesive bonding
Follow written and verbal instructions
Complete work according to instructions, specifications and procedures, under direct and/or limited supervision
Perform a variety of complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations in accordance with company instructions and procedures
Conduct inspections of own and/or other associates work to insure correctness in accordance with company and/or customer drawing
Maintain a clean and orderly workstation adhering to 6S standards
Maintain an acceptable attendance and safety record
Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and procedures
Additional job duties and tasks as needed
Assist other departments with job duties, tasks, training, and development as needed
Complete additional job duties and tasks as assigned and instructed by Lead Tech / Supervisor
Physical Requirements
Approximately 90 sitting and 10 standing/walking about in-door Company facilities
Use head and neck in static position, looking up/down and side-to-side
Perform major hand grasping and fine finger manipulations using both hands
Perform light lifting from floor, table and shelf
Push and pull carts or mobile tables, loaded and unloaded
Minimal: heavy lifting from floor or higher, bending, twisting, climbing, lifting arms above shoulders, kneeling, exposure to excessive noise, hazardous chemicals, hazardous equipment, uneven walking surfaces
Qualifications
Able to read and comprehend regulations and instructions in English
Effective oral and written communication
Must be able to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed
Proficient in using the tools, equipment, and inspection aids applicable to the scope of work assigned
Use hand tools, power tools and electric soldering gun
Lift and Carry up to 30lbs
Able and willing to comply with Drug-Free Workplace policies and pass all related drug/alcohol screenings
Able to perform complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operation
Capable of solving problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures
Skilled at simple welding tasks and/or brazing, or soldering
Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedures
Experience with MS Office Suite
Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts
Education & Experience
Education: Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience
Experience: Minimum of 2 years prior work experience in an electronics/manufacturing environment or completed OJT training for at least 5 products
