FAA Assembly & Test Technician

Job Description:

PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a FAA Assembly & Test Technician to support aerospace manufacturing operations at a leading facility in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates with assembly, testing, and troubleshooting experience in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform standard testing processes on electromechanical and electro-hydraulic control systems
Use precision tools and measuring equipment to assemble, inspect, calibrate, and test aerospace components
Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and quality procedures
Conduct visual inspections and report non-conformities
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety and 5S standards
Participate in daily tier meetings, continuous improvement, and problem-solving activities
Work overtime and weekends as needed

Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
Mechanical and technical experience
Basic computer skills (MS Office, internet navigation)
Ability to lift 30+ lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks
Intermediate math skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Experience using micrometers, calipers, torque wrenches, and other precision tools

Preferred Qualifications

2–3 years of experience in assembly and/or test in a manufacturing environment
Associate degree or technical certification
North Carolina WorkKeys Career Readiness Certificate (Silver or Gold)
Six Sigma training or certification
Experience with 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or Kaizen events
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a team and solve issues at the lowest level

Pay Rate: $22.00/hr
Shift: 2nd Shift 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Subco Bonus Program – Up to $3,000!

$1,000 after 14 days with perfect attendance
$1,000 after 60 days
$1,000 after 90 days

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Pay Details: $22.00 per hour
