Position Overview
Provides for the training of HAECO personnel in matters relating to aircraft types, systems, and subsystems as directed by the spanet and FAA requirements as well as regulatory and HAECO requirements. Supervises Training department Instructors. Responsible for overall scheduling of Training department classes. Must perform tasks within budget and within HAECO, FAA, and customers standards of quality.
Essential Job Duties
- Schedule training classes as directed by the Manager of Employee Development
- Supervise assigned personnel, performing various duties such as completing evaluations and the overall performance management process.
- Track instructor, facility and equipment utilization.
- Work with manpower planning and production team to forecast training needs and develop a plan accordingly.
- Prepare lesson plans, assimilate material, and execute the training program.
- Develop and maintain training syllabi, plans of instruction and curriculum.
- Promote a culture of safety by monitoring self and others to ensure all duties are performed within the guidelines as specified by the HAECO Team Member Safety Manual.
- Serve as Instructor as needed.
- Track and monitor the Training Departments budget and be accountable to the Manager of Employee Development for the content of the budget.
- Maintain accurate training records for repair station personnel.
- Employ Continuous Improvement tools to optimize the training process with a focus on eliminating waste.
- Work with instructors to further develop their skill sets.
- Must be thoroughly familiar with HAECO Americas Training Manual and strictly adhere to the process within.
- Perform other duties and special projects assigned by the Manager of Employee Development and/or Director of Training.
What you need: (Requirements)
Minimum
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five (5) years’ experience working with commercial aircraft, including familiarity with FAA regulations.
- Must be able to communicate efficiently verbally and in writing.
- Read, write and understand the English language.
- Must have intermediate computer skills with a good knowledge of typical business software (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
- Local and out of town travel is required that may require travel by aircraft (15)
Preferred
- Prior experience with a Learning Management system (i.e. HALO), advanced computer skills with LMS software.
- Experience creating and maintaining databases.
- Teaching/Training experience including developing training curriculum.
- A&P or Repairman’s certification.
