Role IntroductionThis role is part of our Engineering Department who are focused on reassurance, keeping our people and our customer’s safe, ensuring that in every aspect of our operation. we have industry leading performance and that our various fleet programmes are delivering to plan, budget and specification.
In this role, you are responsible for deliver operational excellence by ensuring that the Cathay Pacific and Air Hong Kong fleets meet company and regulatory authority targets for safety, airworthiness, operational reliability and commercial performance for the airframe and nacelle structures.
Key Responsibilities- OEM technical relationship management to ensure they effectively support the Engineering vision and goals
- OEM/Vendor maintenance contract technical management and compliance
- Managing the aircraft airframe and nacelle structures’ reliability and maintenance programme’s effectiveness using the Reliability Centred Maintenance Philosophy
- Timely evaluation and management of Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins
- Managing nacelles off-wing repair and workscope
- Managing Corrosion Prevention and Control Program (CPCP) and other aging aircraft programs
- Managing technical investigations and implementing corrective actions
- Developing and managing team performance and succession planning
- Providing the operation with specialist technical support
- Driving continuous process and productivity improvements
- Keeping abreast of industry best practice ideas and developments
- Deputising in Head of Technical Services’ absence
Requirements- Degree in Engineering or aerospace discipline or an equivalent professional qualification Typically a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Engineering role
- Strong aviation engineering knowledge and experience, preferably in relevant trade
- Strong supplier management experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence internal stakeholders, OEMs, other operators, industry experts and regulators
- Experience of driving innovation and delivering business improvement
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills
- Commercial and financial acumen
