Role IntroductionReports to: Head of Revenue Strategy and Systems
The Revenue Systems and Analytics Manager should be an expert in revenue management systems to develop and implement leading edge functionalities to help Cathay maximize network revenues. You will be acting as a key coordination point with Information Technology projects that affect revenue management; and work on projects to develop the systems capabilities that we need.
You will also be seeking input from users and monitor Key Performance Indicators on the use of the revenue management systems and to continuously improve the performance. You will also play a key contact point with vendors and solicit various data sources and latest data science and artificial intelligence technology to improve our forecast accuracy and streamline our business processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement leading edge Revenue Management functionalities to maximise network revenue
- Solicit user requirements for system development and negotiate solutions with partners to ensure product functionalities are in line with Cathay business requirements
- Lead, manage and coordinate major Information Technology (IMT) projects impacting revenue management system
- Provide support to Revenue Management Operation users and ensure system integrity and stability; and lead communications with Information Technology Department and vendors during incidents, ensuring rapid resolution and clear guidance to Revenue Management Operation
- Explore the opportunity of Revenue Management Department performance and process enhancements by leveraging the data science and artificial intelligence capabilities; and work closely with other department and vendors for the proof of concepts and implementation of these ideas
- Solicit the latest technology to form the roadmap and execute the implementation of evolving to next generation revenue management solutions
- Engage with different levels of stakeholders with various background; and communicate effectively with leadership and peers about the technical and commercial topics related to Revenue Management projects and Business Unit processes
- Support the contract negotiation of Revenue Management systems to ensure the contract deliverables align with Cathay business requirements and strategies
- Oversee day‑to‑day team operations including resource planning, leave coverage, delegation, and workflow continuity; and guide Assistant Managers through issue prioritization, science adoption, and cross‑regional support
- Design revenue management strategy taking into account the airline reward program; and track the performance of redeemed seats, the associated revenue impact and recommend focus areas to loyalty programme spaneting team
Requirements- University degree holder or above
- Minimum 5 years commercial working experience with at least 2 years’ experience in managing a team
- Good knowledge of Revenue Management Systems a major advantage
- Practical experience in Project Management and Vendor Management preferred
- Proven record of change management and stakeholder management preferred
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Effective time management
- Independent, self-motivated and able to lead a team
- Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
