Navigation Manager
Based in Budapest
Purpose of the position:
To provide and maintain an enhanced level of navigation-related management oversight of the Wizz Air fleet. The role supervises and coordinates the work of Flight Operations Officers to achieve safe and economical operations of the highest standard.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Preparing post-flight reports for other departments
- Monitoring navigation-related regulations and recommendations and updating procedures as necessary
- Analyzing navigation-related performance and preparing reports and recommendations for the Senior Manager of Operations Control and/or the Group Head of Operations Control
- Providing recommendations on improving navigation-related processes, systems, and management practices in OCC
- Developing and amending OCC procedures and maintaining day-to-day systems in OCC
- Coordinating OCC-related Business Continuity Procedures (BCP)
MEETINGS
- Chairing weekly team meetings
- Attending monthly team meetings
AUTHORITIES OF THE FUNCTION
- Change navigation-related processes that do not affect flight safety
- Change settings in FPS processes that do not affect flight safety
Requirements:
- Completed university or college degree
- Fluent spoken and written English
- 3-5 years of overall work experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the aviation industry
- Valid Flight Operations Officer License, Category B
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Work well under pressure
- Decision-making skills
- Creative thinking
- Attention to detail
- Demonstrated commitment to a Safety Management System
- Teamwork skills
