The selected Manager - Responsible AI plays a pivotal role in ensuring that artificial intelligence (AI) used within the Group adheres to regulatory standards, ethical guidelines, and best practices in data privacy and security. Reporting to the Data Privacy Office (DPO) but working with DPO, IT, Cybersecurity, and Enterprise Data & Analytics teams, this role is responsible for developing and administering the overall Responsible AI Governance Framework. This role involves integrating Responsible AI governance into existing compliance and risk management frameworks; developing new frameworks and overall, ensuring an integrated framework that can identify, manage, and report on all relevant risks.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and implement AI governance policies, standards, and frameworks in alignment with applicable AI regulation, ethical guidelines, and risk management protocols.
- Monitor AI regulation, principles, industry standards and best practices and, collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure alignment of governance frameworks.
- Lead initiatives to ensure the design of AI systems are deployed in a fair, transparent, and accountable manner and where required, implement processes to assess and mitigate risks related to bias, discrimination, and ethical concerns in AI.
- Identify and support the assessment of all other risks related to AI technologies and work with internal stakeholders to develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Function as a liaison between the DPO, Group Legal, IT, Enterprise Data & Analytics, HR, and other parts of the Group to ensure the integration of AI governance practices throughout the organisation.
- Define robust AI literacy programs for defined stakeholder groups.
- Ensure that AI processes are transparent, and that clear documentation is maintained for AI use cases, systems, and models, including risks and risk decisions, and develop and present regular reports to senior leadership on the governance of AI, including compliance status, risk assessments, and ethical considerations.
- Function as the point of contact for AI-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
QualificationTo be considered for this position, you must meet the below requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Law, Ethics, Privacy, Audit, or related fields.
- Experience including 5-10 years in AI governance, data privacy, or regulatory compliance.
Youll have an edge if you have:
- Strong understanding of AI technologies, machine learning, and data governance principles.
- Experience with establishing governance frameworks and risk assessment tools.
- Knowledge of AI ethics, algorithmic fairness, bias detection, and risk management.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical and legal concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
