Building Management System (BMS) is a software that allows users to monitor and control equipment within a building. A well-structured and user-friendly BMS ensures easy operation of buildings and provides insight into all building systems. An Intelligent Building is one that integrates technology and process to create a facility that is safer, more comfortable, and productive for its occupants, and more operationally efficient for its owners.
Stand-alone applications and separate monitoring and control systems take more time and resources to the manager. BMS can help customers integrate disparate Honeywell and third-party systems and technologies to deliver an entire buildings enterprise-wide view. Through an automated building control process, customers can improve performance and operational efficiency and increase the ROI of their systems during the whole building life cycle. Responsibilities
THE POSITION
This role is a General Manager role for the BMS Americas region which has a P&L of over $400M. The successful candidate will be a leader with a track record of successfully building and leading a P&L of similar size and scope to deliver outstanding results.
This role will provide leadership to a cross functional team of direct and matrix reporting employees. The General Manager, BMS Americas will be directly responsible for providing end-to-end oversight of the region to drive profitable growth. In this position, the GM must develop a business strategy, drive performance, and provide overall cross-functional leadership to drive alignment to business strategies. This role will develop spanetplace opportunities in the vertical, lead sales pursuits, oversee internal processes and provide employee leadership in the achievement of common goals. The role will also be responsible for ensuring a safe and engaged workforce and customer satisfaction, in collaboration with other regional managers, peers, employees and cross-functional teams.
This position will report to the President of Building Automation for the Americas region and will actively contribute to overall strategic planning, leveraging investments across all businesses and managing Honeywells overall spanet positioning.
Qualifications
Must Have:
- Minimum of 10 years of business leadership experience including Profit & Loss exposure and accountability.
- The ability to define the organizations vision, rally the team around the concept, set high expectations, and manage those expectations.
- Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving capabilities with extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated experience in leading results-oriented, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, diverse, matrixed, and highly competitive global Software environment.
