ROLE OVERVIEW

The Cabin Operations Supervision Manager ensures the proper functioning, safety, and quality of cabin operations by supporting the Chief Flight Attendant, supervising Flight Attendants, and ensuring the application of current procedures and standards. This individual contributes to training development, participates in recruitment, maintains the compliance of records, collaborates with other departments, and, when necessary, performs Flight Attendant duties. He/She plays a key role in team cohesion, the continuous improvement of practices, and the coordination of operational activities.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively participate in the company’s Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Work closely with the Chief Flight Attendant in creating, updating, and improving procedures, as well as updating the Flight Attendant Manual.
  • Contribute to the development, revision, and continuous improvement of training programs intended for Flight Attendants.
  • Supervise and support the Flight Attendant team, including managing absenteeism, performance, and the implementation of disciplinary measures.
  • Maintain a comprehensive overview of cabin operations and take part in initiatives focused on continuous improvement.
  • Participate in the recruitment of Flight Attendants.
  • Ensure the updating and compliance of cabin crew training records.
  • Collaborate closely with various departments to ensure smooth operational coordination.
  • Perform Flight Attendant duties when required.
  • Participate in discussions and follow‑ups related to labor relations with the union.
  • Take on additional responsibilities that support the success of the Flight Operations department.

WHAT MAKES YOU AN IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Post‑secondary diploma in a related field, an asset
  • Ideally, 5 years of experience in cabin safety.
  • Strong, mobilizing leadership and the ability to create a positive, collaborative work environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing unionized employees, including coaching, feedback, and progressive disciplinary measures.
  • Proficiency in French and English; knowledge of Inuktitut is an asset.
  • Good knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and commercial air service standards.
  • Knowledge of standards related to the Flight Attendant Manual and Flight Attendant training.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Management skills, strong organizational abilities, professionalism, and autonomy.
  • Proficiency in professional writing in both French and English.
  • Successful completion of initial Dash 8 and B737 training, including pre‑flight preparation experience.
