SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:
- FAA Airframe license.
- FAA Powerplant license (preferred).
- Read and interpret aircraft blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and manuals.
- 3+ years of heavy structural repair/manufacturing/modifications experience preferred.
- Demonstrate good problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Must be willing and motivated to learn new skills and equipment.
- Possession of valid driver’s license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Talk and/or hear regularly throughout the day.
- Sitting, standing and walking throughout the day.
- Climb or balance; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
- Use fingers and hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms as continuously throughout the day.
- Lift and/or move tools and equipment up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus throughout the day.
- Work in hangars, flight line, or in a repair shop environment involving confined spaces, hot, noisy, and wet conditions throughout the day.
- Move and use ladders and/or scaffolds as needed.
- Use hand and power tools along with test equipment as needed.
- Must be able to pass drug and background screen.
