We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to ensure that all parts, assemblies, accessories, and raw materials conform to specifications. You will play a crucial role in maintaining high-quality standards by conducting inspections and documenting any discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect Outside Vendor (OSV) parts for compliance with required processes and certifications. Document and report all discrepancies.
• Inspect purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, and raw materials using precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Perform in-process inspections and document any discrepancies.
• Prepare Inspection Discrepancy Reports (IDR) and input data into the QA database. Document acceptance or rejections accordingly.
• Perform source inspections as requested by customers and complete associated documentation.
• Compare completed products with parts lists, drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications to ensure they meet customer expectations.
• Verify specified dimensions of products or materials and prepare Detailed Inspection Plans (DIP).
• Perform first article inspections and complete all associated documentation.
• Assist in writing and updating inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists.
• Prepare inspection procedure outlines for reference in subsequent inspections.
• Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for corrective actions.

• High School diploma or GED; or completed apprenticeship from an accredited trade school.
• 2-5 years of experience for Level 2 Quality Inspector, 5 or more years for Level 3 Quality Inspector.
• Aerospace experience is required.
• Minimum five years of experience with dimensional tolerance inspection (Y14.5) of aerospace products preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret work instructions.
• Strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.

• NADCAP experience is preferred.

Work Environment

This position is for the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, from 12 PM to 8:30 PM. There is a possibility of overtime, though not guaranteed. The role requires working with precision measuring instruments in an aerospace manufacturing setting.
