DIVISION STATEMENT 

The Services and Support Operations (SSO) is a global leader of integrated MRO services and support. We are renowned for our exceptional customer service and expertise at every stage of the aircraft lifecycle, providing innovative OEM-quality service solutions across a comprehensive portfolio. POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs assigned manufacturing related equipment throughout the facility in accordance with standard procedures, internal requirements, manufacturers specifications and safety policies. Performs complex skilled work across multiple-functions and operations of the preventive maintenance system.   Knowledge of both electrical and mechanical preferred.  Multi-craft experience.  DAY SHIFT POSITION:  Core hours of 6:00 - 2:30 pm, Monday - Friday. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Performs maintenance, service and repairs of a complex nature on assigned equipment or systems
  • Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains existing mechanical systems and associated equipment including air compressors, air dryers, dehumidifiers, cooling towers, etc.
  • Follows detailed operational instructions, procedures and blueprints while conducting maintenance activities
  • Oversees the preventive maintenance system and provides required reports
  • Determines preventative maintenance requirements for new equipment and trains equipment operators to perform routine maintenance
  • Maintains a safe and effective work area/environment; using appropriate personal protective and safety equipment
  • Supports the Facilities Function as needed
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience

A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations. Vocational training, apprenticeships, or the equivalent experience in related field 

TYPICAL MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS - HOURLY

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand. The employee frequently is required to use hands to operate equipment and talk or hear. Additionally, the ability to use foot pedals for powered equipment. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk along with pushing, pulling, and lifting items. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distant visual acuity with the ability to see color if welding stainless.  Also expected of the employee is regular attendance, the ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others and members of the public, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
