Hydraulic Test Technician (MRO)
Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are looking for a Hydraulic Test Technician to join our team at Staverton / Tewkesbury.
If you enjoy hands-on technical work, fault finding and working with complex components in a regulated environment, this is an opportunity to build your skills in a growing aerospace business.
The Role:
This is a practical, hands-on role where you’ll be testing and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical components to ensure they meet strict aviation standards.
You’ll be working with specialist test equipment to carry out functional testing, diagnose faults and support repair activities. No two days are quite the same — you might be running tests, stripping down components, or working with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues and get products ready for release.
You’ll play an important role in ensuring everything leaving site is safe, compliant and built to the highest standards, with full traceability and accurate records maintained throughout.
About you:
You’ll have experience working with mechanical or hydraulic components and be comfortable following technical drawings, instructions and procedures. You don’t need to have done this exact role before, but you should enjoy problem-solving, working with your hands and getting into the detail.
You’ll be someone who takes pride in your work, with a strong eye for detail and a focus on quality. You’ll also be a team player, able to work alongside others to solve problems and keep work moving.
An apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or similar experience would be beneficial, and any exposure to hydraulic testing, electrical systems or aerospace standards would be an advantage.
