BACKSHOP MECHANIC
- Reports to the back shop >
- Completes all shop >
- Ensures all work is accomplished in accordance with FAA approved data.
- Manage allocated resources & materials in an efficient manner.
- Responsible for reporting hazards and promoting safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for completing tasks as assigned related to back shop >
- Coordinates with the supply chain, and other company personnel and other company Lead Technicians.
- Ensure employee times are captured on the assigned work order and timecard
- Completes company paperwork / documentation for the assigned tasks
- Adheres to company policy and performs other duties as assigned by the Lead Mechanic.
- Complete with accuracy all paperwork and records that are in the workflow process.
- Complete the assigned training as required.
- Ensure equipment and tooling is maintained in a serviceable condition.
- Maintain the workspace and facility in a clean and orderly manner.
- Identify and report all possible safety risks in maintenance operations.
- Notify the Lead Mechanic of problems encountered while performing duties.
- Attend shop >
- Notify Quality Control of any Service Difficulty Report Notifications required on maintenance completed in the shop.
- Must be willing to accept additional incoming work from outside vendors and research requirements to expand capabilities list including manuals, tooling and test equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- One (1) year of mechanic experience in a related field
- Have good English written and verbal communication skills.
- Be willing to travel to deliver assigned parts or tooling
- Hold a valid drivers license
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
General Safety:
Must successfully pass the basic indoctrination class administered by Royal Aircraft Services
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
- Work performed in a shop >
- Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable.
- Heavy physical effort required on occasion.
- Continuous mental and visual attention required.
