Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • AGE Supervisor is responsible for Aerospace Ground Support Equipment maintenance used to support the transportation of Cabinet Members, and other high-ranking national and international dignitaries.
  • Will supervise, direct, and control all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, ensures use of maintenance instructions and technical data in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of assigned ground support equipment.
  • Supervises maintenance of hand and powered tools in an orderly manner.
  • Confirms required data on maintenance forms and ensures maintenance data Forms and Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) inputs are completed.
  • Assist in the training and direction of assigned personnel. Practices good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention and safety at all times.
  • Shall assign other duties as required to include TDY and travel, cross-utilization training and ensure personnel are qualified to perform maintenance tasks to meet mission requirements.
  • Coordinates with other maintenance organizations and staff agencies to ensure effective support.
  • Ensures all maintenance is conducted safely IAW applicable instructions, policies, and directives. Briefs and updates AGE status to senior leaders.
  • Performs disaster preparedness responsibilities, implements emergency procedures and severe weather warning actions, IAW directives and local policies.
  • Participates in the daily maintenance planning and scheduling meetings.
  • Acts as the single point of contact for all AGE maintenance personal matters.  
  • Assists in the training and direction of assigned personnel.


Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or the equivalent is required.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of powered Aerospace Ground Equipment processes to include procurement procedures is required.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.  
  • Candidates must possess exceptional communication skills and leadership qualities.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. NOTE: US Citizenship is required to obtain this clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government flightline driver’s license.

Compensation:

The base salary range for this position is $98,680.00 to $118,680.00.This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for the new salaries for the position.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training.
