JOB TITLE: Aircraft Final Line Mechanic I
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $25.65/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Assemble, install, and adjust structural parts and system components
Rig control cables, linkages, landing gear, engines, cowls, and aircraft doors
Install system lines, valves, ducts, and hardware ensuring leak-free systems
Remove, replace, and fit structural components and system lines as needed for basic repairs
Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations; rework as needed for conformity
Use required mechanical tools and gauges for precise installation and adjustment
Complete required logs and documentation (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs)
Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow FOD and 5S safety programs
Conduct self-inspections to ensure defect-free work prior to final inspection
Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements
May support aircraft certification and participate in flight tests as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
1 year of aerospace/aviation experience or equivalent mechanical experience (e.g., auto mechanics, heavy equipment, etc.)
A&P license may offset the one year of experience requirement
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams
Proficient in using mechanical tools including permaswage pumps, dies, cutting tools, wrenches, and gauges
Able to perform basic mechanical tasks such as drilling, reaming, and fitting parts
Must be able to climb ladders and stairs
Must be able to work in small, restricted spaces
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Solumina and SmarTeam experience preferred
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
