Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is looking for a Staff Air Vehicle Engineer – Technical Volume Lead. This role reports to the Engineering Integration & Execution (EI&E) Air Vehicle Department Manager on the SCS program. This role is located on-site in Melbourne, FL.
Candidate will contribute to writing technical volumes, story boarding proposal strategies for the Air Vehicle Integration Team and creating other capture effort documentation, while planning the execution program post award. Candidate shall display professionalism and leadership, have a strong work ethic, work well with others, and be able to function as member of a dynamic team.
Essential Functions:
Development and peer review of applicable Air Vehicle design integration, development and test documentation
Development and proposal documentation and technical volumes
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a close team environment
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.
Basic Qualifications:
For Level 5: Must have a Bachelors in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 14 years of experience in the design and integration of equipment OR a Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 12 years of experience in the design and integration of equipment.
Active In-Scope DoD Secret clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain Active In-Scope DoD Top Secret clearance.
Must have experience generating technical documents and working with various software/data processing tools such as MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other related tools
Must have an understanding of design approach, design integration, development and test methodologies and practices
Preferred Qualifications:
Review documents from the supplier’s development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design reviews.
Technical understanding of program strategic partners and suppliers, including development, acquisition, acceptance, qualification, system integration and test support.
Proven experience in proposal development and capture management, collaborating with cross-functional teams to strategize, draft, and deliver compelling proposals for government and defense contracts
Active DOD Top Secret Security Clearance
Primary Level Salary Range: $152,900.00 - $229,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
