Delta Air Lines, Inc. has multiple openings for Software Development Engineers in Atlanta, GA.

Key Responsibilities

Design, prototype, and demonstrate new software features and components of front-end and back-end to users to ensure compliance with requirements.
Assist in the design, implementation, and optimization of related technical approaches, tools, and workflows.
Collaborate with the technical teams, business teams, and product managers to ensure that the software code that is developed meets their vision.
Design software solutions to meet functional and technical requirements.
Align to Security/Compliance frameworks and controls requirements.
Own quality posture.
Write automated tests, ideally before writing code, and write code.
Develop delivery pipelines and automated deployment scripts.
Configure services, such as databases and monitoring.
Implement Service Reliability Engineering.
Fix software problems from the development phase through the production phase, which requires being on call for production support.
Telecommuting permitted 2-3 days per week.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, and 3 years of IT experience. In the alternative, will accept a Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, and 1 year of IT experience.

Must have work experience with:

Using AWS services including Lambda (serverless compute), CloudWatch (monitoring and observability), S3 (object storage), and DynamoDB (NoSQL database) to develop scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions;
Providing end-to-end production support by resolving critical issues efficiently, optimizing system performance, and ensuring minimal downtime for business operations;
Java/j2EE framework design; and
AWS Connect product, designing and implementing RES IVR Contact Flows and AWS Lex bots.
