Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for a Senior Staff Engineer Systems (Systems Architect). We are looking for you to join our team as a Senior Staff Engineer Systems (Systems Architect) based out of Orlando, FL. Teleworking is available for this position.  As a Senior Staff Engineer Systems (Systems Architect) at Northrop Grumman, you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Cross-Domain Handling of Releasable Data (CHORD) portfolio. CHORD is a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) two-domain Cross Domain Solution (CDS). The CHORD portfolio comprises multiple contract awards and with various customers. The successful candidate will be exceptionally meticulous, collaborative, open, transparent, and team-oriented with a focus on team empowerment & personal responsibility, flexibility, continuous learning, and a culture of seeking the best performance from everyone.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• The Senior Staff Engineer Systems will be the Systems Architect, responsible for understanding high-level customer requirements, effectively translating it into a system architecture and delivering technical proposal content. 
• The Systems Architect will interface with Business Development and Capture Managers on multiple capture efforts. 
• The successful candidate shall have experience understanding customer needs and architecting a system to meet those needs.
• They will be able to translate complex technical concepts into proposal content and establish the future architecture for the product.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) field and 14 years of related technical experience; Master’s degree in a STEM field and 12 years of related technical experience, or PHD in a STEM field and 10 years of related technical experience
• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Demonstrated experience architecting complex systems on DoD Programs
• Demonstrated experience developing technical solution for Proposal and Capture Efforts

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expertise in CDS Technology
• Familiarity with the NCDSMO’s Lab Based Security Assessment process.
• Experience coordinating with external suppliers
• Familiarity with Foreign Military Sales

Salary Range: $162,500.00 - $243,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
