Responsibilities
Your responsibilities
- Develop solutions to enhance production capabilities through robotics and automation.
- Proactively evaluate and optimize manufacturing process for efficiency.
- Troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime.
- Identify and deploy best practice tools, equipment, and processes to drive value stream improvements.
- Ensure all necessary documentation, information, and tools are available to the manufacturing team.
- Support investments and business transformation projects by providing expertise in automation, robotics and lean manufacturing.
Qualifications
Who we are looking for
- Degree in an applied engineering discipline or equivalent manufacturing experience.
- Experience working with Programmable Logic Control and Human Machine Interface.
- Track record of implementation of Lean principles such as Value Stream Mapping, Just-in-Time, Heijunka, Andon, Single Piece Flow, 5S, TPM, Kaizen, and SMED.
- Proven practical knowledge of high-precision tools, automation, and robotics.
- CAM programming; Edge-cam, Inventor, and Auto-cad experience.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and solution implementation.
- Excellent communication skills to establish productive relationships across the business.
- Familiarity with quality assurance and safety standards.
Ideally, you will also have
- Working knowledge of Robotic Operating Systems (e.g Fanuc or ABB) – Industrial or Collaborative Robots.
- Proven understanding and awareness of new cutting tool technologies.
- Good data analysis skills, to identify opportunities for improvements.
- Readiness to occasionally travel for business.
