Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for Quality Analyst/Principal Quality Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
This position will develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. This position will act as a liaison for Mission Assurance and interface with Planning Analyst, Cost Account Managers, etc to compile cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications.
The responsibility of this position may also include:
As a Control Account Manager (CAM), perform EVMS activities including time-phasing of tasks; performance measurement; estimate to complete analysis and updates and variance analysis research and reporting
Provide oversight and support execution of all new capture business and proposal efforts, budgets and estimating
Research and analyze historical data for development of cost models to support Mission Assurance proposal efforts
Engage with members of the program to facilitate budgets and estimates as well as staffing and planning for MA
Coordinate the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from Mission Assurance
Support the annual program CEAC effort for the MA IPT along with weekly budget reviews to ensure critical milestones are met; this includes communicating with program leadership to further validate our financial position
Support Mission Assurance IPT leader to ensure healthy lines of communication are established and maintained and assist with facilitating solutions to budget challenges
Investigate problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies
Has working knowledge of the budget and proposal process and helps to coach other team members on the process
Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met
Verifying test setups and reviewing test procedures to ensure validation of requirements
Supporting program proposals and other pre-award events such proposal kick-offs, pricing and cost reviews, and other required milestone evaluations
Performing root cause/corrective action (RCCA)
Persistence and tenacity to meet deadlines in a challenging, multi-tasking environment
Basic Qualifications - Quality Analyst:
Bachelor Degree with 2 years of experience in Quality and/or Analysis OR a Master’s Degree and no years of experience
An Active, In-scope, DoD Secret Security Clearance with the last investigation occurring within the last five (5) years and the ability to obtain and maintain Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
Experience with MS Excel to create, analyze, and maintain spreadsheets with complex formulas
Experience performing Root Cause/Corrective Action
Experience with Tableau or similar tool to analyze data and communicate trends/status
Preferred Qualifications - Quality Analyst:
Experience with MS Excel to create, analyze, and maintain spreadsheets with complex formulas
Strong Organizational and Leadership Skills
Experience performing Risk Management
Strong Organizational and Leadership Skills
Experience working with the Integrated Project Team leaders and design groups.

Salary Range: $63,800.00 - $95,800.00Salary Range 2: $78,700.00 - $118,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
