Job Responsibilities
- Daily activities focused on Environmental Protection and Employee Safety
- Prepare Safety Data Sheet (SDS), master labels and other documentation as needed
- Aid management with safety and regulatory audits
- Coordinate the hazardous waste removal and handling procedures
- Assist in the administration with customer inquiries on shipping, handling, and disposal of chemicals
- Assist in generating literature for orders, SDS, etc.
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Support implementation of an effective preventative maintenance program to ensure the stewardship of DRS assets
- Respond to problems and issues in a tactful and expedient manner
- Support facilities inspections and reporting requirements
- Collect data and generates reports and metrics

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in EHS, science or related field preferred with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with OSHA and annual compliance training strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organization and negotiation skills are mandatory
- Must have excellent PC-based computer skills
