Position Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Plant Accountant and play a pivotal role in driving the financial success of our innovative manufacturing facility. We are seeking a candidate that is analytical and detail-oriented to monitor, manage and reconcile accounting processes, including payroll, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to ensure compliance in financial regulations and internal controls. Responsibilities
Scope/ Supervision and Interaction:
Scope of responsibilities includes maintain accurate financial reports, contact with third party vendors, and communication with departmental staff, division controllers and accounting staff.
Essential Functions:
- Cost Tracking and Analysis: Monitor and analyze production costs, including materials, labor, and overhead, to ensure accurate cost accounting and budget adherence.
- Month-Close Procedures: Finalize financial data, reconcile accounts, and prepare financial statements to ensure accurate reporting of division’s financial position at the end of each month.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory accounting, including valuation methods (e.g., FIFO) and reconciliation of physical inventory with accounting records.
- Capital Expenditure Tracking: Manage and analyze capital expenditures, ensuring proper accounting treatment and compliance with financial policies.
- Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies, establishing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard assets.
- Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to compare actual performance against budgeted figures, providing insights into operational efficiency and areas for improvement.
- Collaboration with Operations: Work closely with plant management and production teams to understand operational processes and provide financial insights that support decision-making.
- Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial records related to plant operations.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- 0-2+ years accounting experience required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or have U.S. Permanent Resident status
- Excellent PC navigation, communication skills, and Excel proficiency required
